In addition to the courses Sabio has for students it has a free mini boot camp that focuses on tech industry experience with javascript and coding. This introductory month of coding and javascript help the student get ready for the course as well as teach basic coding skills to those who have no prior experience.
Javascript is where one can program extremely complex features on various web pages. Coding is similar in where one can create a program language to get a computer to do what you want.
These two functions are the main building blocks of different needs in the tech industry. The difference with Sabio and normal schooling, is that Sabio combines an internship experience with learning new skills. This software training is not only for tech industry jobs but for any digital job that involves websites.
This free month of work is crucial to students who signed up for the course as well as for those who would like to begin working on advancing their skills in the coding world. This free month course includes what to install on your computer to learn how to code, exercises, lesson videos and javascript information.
Integrating all of these tools is what makes Sabio one of the best courses to take remotely or online. This kind of hands on training with coding is what builds the students understanding and comprehension of software engineering.
“Sabio was started back in the summer of 2013 and was started by two Latino immigrants. Our goal was really to help more women and more people of color in southern California gain the skills we knew were in demand…We definitely see the first two boot camps as a contribution to the community,” said Monge.
Keeping this informative course open to all is one of the key founding ideas of the company. With this free month bootcamp employees in various fields can benefit from skills Sabio teaches and can help advance your business or position in the company.
Although some candidates can skip the beginning bootcamp for javascript if they feel well enough equipped, the Sabio team is welcome to anybody and is ready to be flexible with anyone’s schedule.
“Basically you can think of software as an additional layer to any business function. Coding and scripting as a tool. It is not something that is just done for its own sake… it’s for business reasons,” Monge said.
Sabio is a leading tech industry website that offers in person or remote classes to enhance one’s skills in various tech coding, javascript and programming.
Sabio uses interactive media such as Trello which help students track and locate tasks for the day and what big projects one has to do. Sabio also uses Slack which helps communicate with one another. Besides organizational skills, these applications are helping students understand what a tech industry environment is like.
“A lot of people think that being a tech worker means you’re going to be in a corner all by yourself… that’s not the case whenever you have to build software you are going to do it with a big team. and so whenever you’re working with a big team you’re going to need to communicate with that team the tools we use are things like GetHub which allows you to share and manage your code repository… all of these are used in the industry so its important our students use that,” said Monge.
Sabio’s main concept is to help get students ahead and ready for a career in the tech industry. This is important due to the tough competition of other people in this field.
“Sabio does a really good job connecting students to real life projects… We take internship experience and embed it into our academic experience and that his something that is very unique and it makes it easier for our students to find meaningful employment after they graduate, ” said Monge.
Sabio’s software engineering program has had students be employed at highly respected tech companies such as Microsoft, Google, Tesla, Amazon, MedMen, and the University of Southern California.
Sabio offers these programs for various people to advance their skills and have the experience to impress their employers.
